Woman found dead in Sullivan County was murdered, police say

MONTICELLO – Skeletal remains found in a wooded area behind the Sleepy Hollow apartment complex in Monticello on June 10 have been positively identified and village police said the death of April Parker, 31, of Terry Lane in Monticello, was a homicide.  Police say they do not believe she was the victim of random violence.

Parker was reported missing on May 26 when police began their investigation.

State Police and Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office are assisting Monticello Police in the ongoing investigation.
