Man arrested after fleeing from Kingston to Binghamton to Peekskill

KINGSTON – An Ellenville man, who was allegedly engaged in an altercation with his ex-girlfriend in Kingston before fleeing, has been arrested in Peekskill.

Quavon Travis, 20, of Center Street in Ellenville was wanted on several felony warrants stemming from an altercation with his ex-girlfriend several days ago.

He fled the scene and investigation determined he fled to Binghamton, but ultimately made his way to Peekskill.  Peekskill detectives along with Kingston Police, the Ulster DA’s Office and US Marshals Service, tracked him down and took Travis into custody without incident.

Travis was charged in Kingston with felonies of aggravated criminal contempt, aggravated sexual abuse and a misdemeanor of assault.
