Elementary School student is suspending for writing bomb threat

MARLBORO – An 11-year-old student Marlboro Elementary School, in Ulster County, was hoping to get out of school.  He got his wish,

The boy was suspended for writing a bomb threat on a bathroom wall at the school on Monday.

Marlboro Police Chief Gerald Cocozza said school and police officials reviewed school surveillance footage and identified the youth, who when questioned, admitted making the written threat. He told the authorities he did it in hopes of getting off from school.
The boy’s parents were notified.

With the determination that there was no threat to anyone, the school remained open after the scribbled note was found at 11 a.m.
