Shooter convicted in Greenburgh drug deal killing

WHITE PLAINS – The man who pulled the trigger killing a man in a Greenburgh marijuana deal, was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Tuesday to 25 years to life in state prison.

Daniel Forte, 27, of 817 Terrence Place in Cortlandt Manor was convicted in February on three murder counts, three robbery counts and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

An accomplice, Enrique Ansell, 27, of 126 Valley Street in Sleepy Hollow, pled guilty this past January to first-degree robbery and faces 25 years in prison when sentenced in July.

The two men were involved in the death of Kutjim Rushiti on January 26, 2013.

Greenburgh Police and the District Attorney’s Office investigated the case.
