Former parking meter officer busted for pocketing over $89,000 in revenue

WHITE PLAINS – A former parking meter enforcement officer for the Village of Mount Kisco has been charged with felony grand larceny for pocketing over $89,000 in meter revenues into his own bank account.

Jeffrey Daday, 35, of 12 Hermitage Road in Brewster is alleged to have stolen the money from January 2009 through early May 2014.  He allegedly would empty the meters and deposit part of the money into his own bank account at a local Mount Kisco bank branch.

Mount Kisco Police were alerted to the thefts and along with investigators from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office initiated surveillance over a period of time.

Daday was arrested on Tuesday as he left the bank after making a deposit.  If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in state prison.
