Child porn arrests in Sullivan, Onondaga counties

LIBERTY/CLAY - State Police at Liberty executed a search warrant at an address in Hankins, on Wednesday after an investigation into the dissemination and possession of child pornography.  As a result of the search warrant, Jacob Stein, 40 of Hankins, was taken into custody.  Computers and related equipment were seized from the residence.  

Stein was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, both felonies.  He is in the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond. 

State Police at Liberty were assisted by the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Village of Liberty Police Department. 

In an unrelated case, State Police in Marcy announce the arrest of William Futrell, 21, of 8229 Sarona Lane, Town of Clay.  Futrell is charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a felony. He allegedly traded images, over the internet, with an individual in Toronto, Canada. 
Futrell's arrest comes after a joint investigation by the New York State Police, The U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Investigations, and the Syracuse Police Department. 

Futrell was arraigned in the Town of Clay and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.
