Two arraigned in Albany murder

ALBANY - Jahmeek Croley, 26, of Albany, and Jovell White-Span, 22, of Rensselaer, were each arraigned on Friday for their alleged roles in a October 2013 homicide in the City of Albany.  Croley and White-Span were each arraigned on one Count of murder in the second degree and one count of conspiracy in the second degree, both felonies, in Albany County Court.

The indictment alleges on October 19, 2013 in the area of Cortland Place in the City of Albany, Jahmeek Croley and Jovell White-Span caused the death of Edward Maxim by means of shooting him with a pistol. The indictment further alleges the both co-defendants conspired to commit the crime of Murder in the Second Degree.

Croley pleaded not guilty to all charges and was remanded in lieu of bail to the Albany County Correctional Facility. 

White-Span pleaded not guilty to all charges and was remanded in lieu of bail back to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility.
