22 groups meet casino fee deadline

ALBANY – A total of 22 groups submitted $1 million each for their opportunity to apply for a casino gaming license through the state.

About half of the interested parties want to locate in the Hudson Valley, from Westchester to Albany.  Orange County, alone, has six proposals.  Neighboring Sullivan has three. 

Three regions are competing for four casinos.  A decision is expected by fall
