Wynantskill man arrested for forcibly touching 15-year-old girl

ALBANY - State Police in Albany received a complaint on April 6, from a medical professional at Albany Medical Center who reported a possible sexual assault of a 15-year-old female.   Troopers responded to Albany Medical Center and interviewed the victim who stated she was on a bus trip from Utica to Albany when an eighteen year old male sat next to her.

During the trip, the male subject, Deronn Pool, 18, of Wynantskill, began forcibly touching intimate parts of her body which left visible bruises.  The victim got off the bus and immediately went to the hospital.  There, she was treated by medical staff who then contacted the State Police.

An Investigator from the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation quickly identified and located Pool.  He was arrested and processed at SP Albany where he was charged with the following misdemeanors:

  • Endangering the Welfare of a Child
  • Forcible Touching

Pool was issued an Appearance Ticket directing him to return to the City of Albany Court later this month.
