Snow, ice creates nuisance in parts of downstate

NEW YORK – March is going out like a lion instead of a lamb in parts of downstate New York, including the Big Apple and part of Long Island.  A messy mix of snow, sleet and some ice is expected to continue into the morning commute.

It won’t last long.  Temperatures in areas getting the precipitation are expected to warm rapidly into the 40s in most areas.
