Human remains found in upstate home

TOWN OF STOCKHOLM - State Police executed a search warrant at 733 May Road in the town of Stockholm in St. Lawrence County and found what appear to be human remains. Information was developed during an investigation which led State Police to obtain a search warrant for the property.  The Troop B Forensic Identification Unit has been processing the scene.

On March 21, investigators located what they determined to be human remains.  An autopsy will be conducted at a place and time yet to be determined. Investigators from the Forensic Identification Unit will be working with St. Lawrence County Coroner Jamie Sienkiewycz to identify the remains.

Excavation and investigation is ongoing and will continue throughout the weekend.
