Convicted murderer sentenced to maximum 25 to life

ALBANY – An Albany man was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison before in Albany County Supreme Court Friday morning.

On January 17, Robert Williams, 41, was found guilty after a jury trial of one count of murder in the second degree.  On May 26, 2013, the defendant intentionally caused the death of his estranged wife Sharene Wallace while in her residence on Sherman Street in Albany by stabbing her with a knife.

The Albany Police led this investigation after the victim was found deceased in her bedroom closet.
