Man leaves child in car while shoplifting

BRUNSWICK -  State Police in Brunswick arrested Edwin Crespo, 31 of Troy, last Friday, for two counts of petit larceny and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  Crespo was caught stealing $202.49 worth of baby formula from the Brunswick Price Chopper on 2/28/14.  Further review of security footage by security personnel determined that Crespo also sole $164.84 worth of baby formula the day before.  Once the trooper arrived on scene it was found that Crespo had left a 5 year old child in his vehicle unattended.  The vehicle was running and the doors were unlocked.

Crespo was processed at the Brunswick barracks and is in the Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $1000 cash/$5000 bond.
