GOSHEN – The Orange County Child Abuse Unit arrested a 15-year-old boy and charged him with felony course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degree and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.  Police arrested the boy following an investigation of a report by the parents of an eight-year-old girl, who called the New York State Child Abuse Hotline and indicated he had sexually abused their daughter. The boy is a friend of the victim’s family.

The investigation revealed the boy had allegedly sexually abused the girl on more than one occasion over the course of several months.

The 15-year-old was issued a Family Court appearance ticket and released to his guardian.
