State continues to dig out from huge snowstorm; many roof collapses reported

STATEWIDE – Most of New York State had at least some snow, but it was downstate areas, notably the Hudson Valley, that got hit hardest.  Up to two feet of snow was reported in some places.

A bit more snow, perhaps up to three inches, could fall on the Hudson Valley today.

Several roof collapses were reported, particularly in Rockland County.

Building officials suggest that homeowners with two feet or more on their roof should have it professionally removed.
