Parole officer charged with falsifying records

LATHAM – An investigation by State Police in Greenwich and the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team- Capital Region, concluded with the arrest of Stacey Sullivan, 43, of Greenwich NY.
Sullivan was charged with one felony count of falsifying business records in the first degree and one misdemeanor count of official misconduct.
The investigation revealed that during her course of employment as a New York State Parole Officer, Sullivan confiscated contraband from parolees under her control and failed to properly document or secure the items. The contraband items consisted of steroids and prescription drugs and admissions by Sullivan indicated personal use of these items over several years.
At the conclusion of the criminal investigation, Officer Sullivan was placed on suspension by her agency, pending internal hearings.
She was processed at the State Police barracks in Greenwich and released with an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Rotterdam court.
