$10,000 in counterfeit bills seized, four people arrested

EAST FISHKILL – Four people are under arrest and $10,000 in $100 bills have been confiscated following an investigation by the East Fishkill Police Department.

The investigation began when one of the suspects attempted to pass a forged $100 bill at a Chinese restaurant on Route 52 in Wiccopee last Saturday. An officer in the area stopped the car with all four suspects, marijuana on two of them, and the $10,000 in phony bills.  It was also learned that other counterfeit $100 bills were passed at two other East Fishkill businesses shortly before the suspects were stopped.

Arrested were Kahlee McMillon, 28, and Krystal Garcia, both from the Bronx, Darrell Matthews, 30, and Quamel Galloway, 21, both of Cortlandt Manor.

They were charged criminal possession of a forged instrument and conspiracy, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana.  All four are in the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
