Methamphetamine lab arrest in Oneida County

ROME - According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol; on December 27, 2013 the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police responded to a physical domestic located at 6282 Lamphear Road, in the City of Rome.  When they arrived at the scene further investigation by both the Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police led to the discovery of a mobile methamphetamine lab. The Oneida County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, and the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Response Team also responded to the residence and a search warrant was later obtained. A search of the residence, and a vehicle located on the property resulted in locating more methamphetamine, and manufacturing material. 

Anthony Armstrong, 47, of Lamphear Road, Rome was arrested in connection with this investigation and was lodged in Rome City Lock up on charges of unlawful manufacturing methamphetamine in the third degree, a felony. 

This case is still pending further investigation.
