Mother charged with felony DWI after crash injures her three children

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Police in Orange County have charged a mother with three counts of felony DWI following the crash of her car into a utility pole on Tower Drive in the Town of Wallkill on Thursday evening.

Her three daughters, ages 7, 6, and 4, were all injured.

Police said Heather Linguanti, 27, was driving while under the influence of narcotics. None of the children was wearing a seat belt or was secured in a child safety seat.

Linguanti was also charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs with children under the age of 15 in the vehicle, misdemeanor DWI and three counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Two of the children, Chloe Ebbecke, 6, and Shaelan Ebbecke, 4, both rear seat passengers, suffered very serious head injuries and were flown to Westchester Medical Center. The third child, Brianna Ebbecke, 7, who was in the front seat, was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center.

Linguanti is in the Orange County Jail.
