Suffolk County bank robbed

FARMINGVILLE - Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Saturday at an Astoria Federal Savings bank, 696 Horseblock Road, in Farmingville.

Two men both armed with what appeared to be black handguns entered the bank at approximately 7 p.m. The first man, described as Hispanic, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, bearded, with a medium build, wearing a white sweatshirt, camouflage pants and a red and white baseball hat stayed on the bank’s floor. The second man, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a winter vest, with a grey hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap demanded money from a teller. Both men are approximately 20-30 years-old.  

The teller complied with the suspect’s demand and the men fled on foot southbound on Wendy Drive.  No one was injured.
