Retired parole officer arrested for grand larceny

WATERLOO - State Police in Waterloo arrested Angelo Ervolina residing at 4966 Rockefeller Road Auburn NY.  Ervolina was arrested on charges of grand larceny and multiple counts of offering a false instrument for filing.  The charges stem from a New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Inspector General’s Office investigation into reported falsification of official records pertaining to time worked.  It’s alleged that while Ervolina worked as a Senior Parole Officer for the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, he falsified electronic time sheet records which led to him benefitting approximately $66,000 over a twenty month period.

Ervolina was arraigned in the town of Waterloo court and released on his own recognizance.  Ervolina's next court date is scheduled January 9.
