Veteran Yonkers police officer charged with racketeering in Florida

YONKERS – A 16-year-veteran of the Yonkers City Police Department has been arrested and charged with racketeering stemming from an investigation by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

Yonkers Officer Christopher Dellacamera, 45, was arraigned in Westchester County Court in relation to an arrest warrant issued by Broward County Court charging him with racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

Dellacamera voluntarily surrendered to the Yonkers PD Internal Affairs Division. After his arraignment, he was released on his own recognizance.
It is alleged that Dellacamera and seven other men, all from Florida, were engaged in an illegal betting and money laundering ring.

Police investigated what they dubbed “Operation Gotham City” for a year.
