Nassau County bank robbed

VALLEY STREAM – Nassau County police are investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred in Valley Stream on Tuesday, December 10, at 9:39 A.M.

According to detectives, an unknown male black subject described as being in his 30’s, scruffy facial hair, wearing a black jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt and eyeglasses entered the Dime Savings Bank at 175 West Merrick Road and handed a demand note to a teller. After several seconds the subject fled the bank without any proceeds and was last observed on foot westbound on West Merrick Road. No injuries were reported and there were five employees and no customers present at the time of the robbery.
