REDFORD - On Saturday, September 8, just after midnight, State Police responded to a report of a man with a shotgun inside a home.
Marvin Dygert Sr., 26, of Redford, was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, when he brandished a shotgun and threatened to kill his wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and any police who showed up. Also in the residence were Dygert’s two children, five and six years old.
State Police Crisis Negotiators responded to the scene along with the Special Operations Response Team (SORT), and Clinton County Sheriff's Department.
After several hours, Dygert was taken into custody by SORT members. He was arrested and charged with criminal contempt 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, menacing 2nd, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Dygert was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5000 cash bail, $10,000 bond.
