GREENBURGH - State Police from the Hawthorne barracks responded 5:20 Sunday morning to the Sprain Brook Parkway, northbound, for a report of a vehicle fire, with possible entrapment, between Jackson Avenue and Route 100B.
A passerby was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway where she encountered a vehicle that was fully engulfed and she immediately contacted Westchester County 911. Greenville Fire Department and Troopers quickly responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. At approximately 5:45 a.m., the fire was extinguished and investigation revealed that the four occupants of the vehicle were deceased.
The victims have been identified as Bruno Vaccarezza, 19, of Cos Cob CT, the front seat Fernanda Gomez, 19, of Port Chester, and the rear passengers Juliana Restrepo, 18 of Port Chester Vincent Mendoza, 20, Norwalk CT.
The State Police ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact investigators at Hawthorne, (914)769-2600.
