Assistant crew coach charged with having sexual contact with two high school girls

KINGSTON – A Town of Kingston man, who was a volunteer assistant coach with the Kingston High School crew team, has been arrested and charged with having sexual contact with two teenage girls.

Authorities said Kevin Quick, 22, of 39 Jockey Hill Road in the Town of Kingston, is alleged to have had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl at a residence on Route 213 in the Town of Esopus on May 4. He is also alleged to have had sexual contact with a 16-year-old on more than one occasion at his residence.

Quick was dismissed from his position prior to the charges being lodged, Kingston Schools Superintendent Dr. Paul Padalino said.

Quick was charged with felony rape and misdemeanor forcible touching. He is in the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 property bond.

Police said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 840-340-3956.
