Teen charged with posting threat against school

MINEOLA – Nassau County Police report an arrest for making a terrorist threat which occurred on Tuesday, April 16, at 8:30 A.M. in Lawrence.

A male subject, age 16, threatened to blow up Mesivta Ateres Yaakov School at 131 Washington Avenue.  The defendant posted the threats on his facebook page, which were brought to the attention of the principal.  The school was evacuated and the surrounding streets were shut down from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.  The subject was in school at this time and placed under arrest without incident.

The defendant is charged with Making A Terrorist Threat and Aggravated Harassment 2nd degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday
