State police conducts school drill during spring break

GLENS FALLS - State Police in Troop G, Zone 2, recently conducted an active shooter exercise/drill during the recent School Spring Break week.
The 2 day exercise was conducted on April 2nd and 3rd at the Oliver W. Winch Middle School in the Village of South Glens Falls in Saratoga County, NY. The drills were facilitated by State Troopers belonging to the Firearms Unit of Troop G and were scenario based and involved law enforcement first responders from multiple agencies responding to a simulated active shooter situation.
Over 50 Troopers and Investigators from the State Police along with members of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, the Village of South Glens Falls Police Department and the City of Glens Falls Police Department participated in the two day event.
Zone 2 of Troop G comprises the counties of Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties and the New York State Police is grateful to the South Glens Falls School District for the use of their building to allow this valuable training to take place.
