Pair sought in Long Island bank robbery

VALLEY STREAM – Nassau County police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Sunday March 24, at 1:15 p.m.

Two subjects entered the TD Bank, located at 275 W. Merrick Road. Subject 1, a male white, approximately 21 years old, 5’8” tall, medium build, medium to light complexion, wearing a black woolen hat and black sweatshirt  waited in the customer service line, while subject 2, a male black, 18-21 years old, 5’8” – 5’10” tall, dark complexion, dark afro style hair with a bleach white Mohawk in the middle of his head, took a seat in the customer service area. The first subject passed a demand note to the teller who complied by giving an unknown amount of U.S. currency to the subject. The subjects fled on foot eastbound on W. Merrick Road with the proceeds. There were no injuries reported. There were five employees and eight customers in the bank at the time.
