Serial burglar sentenced to nine years in prison
BALLSTON SPA – A Mechanicville man who admitted committing three residential burglaries was sentenced to prison in Saratoga County Court. Michael Torturo, 28, was sentenced to nine years in state prison with an additional 5 years of post-release supervision.
The burglaries occurred in the Towns of Halfmoon on May 9, and Greenfield on May 11 and the City of Saratoga Springs on May 29, 2012.
Torturo was apprehended in Albany County and admitted to the burglaries in Saratoga County while being questioned by law enforcement.
