DEPOSIT - State Police at Deposit are investigating a one-car pedestrian fatal that occurred on State Route 8 in the Town of Deposit, Delaware County.

The investigation revealed that at approximately 6:55 PM, Barbara Seymour, 79, was walking on St Rte 8 near her residence when she was struck by a truck towing an empty snowmobile trailer traveling south, operated by James Gruscavage, 56, of Deposit. Mrs. Seymour was transported by ambulance to Wilson Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

James Gruscavage was charged with vehicular manslaughter in the second degree and was sent to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
