COLD SPRING HARBOR - Suffolk County Police arrested a Huntington woman for driving with a suspended license following a crash that killed a pedestrian in Cold Spring Harbor.

Rita Wallace was eastbound on Main Street when her car struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at 6:01 p.m.

The pedestrian, Jean Carr, 78, of 44 Woodbury Way, Syosset, was transported to Huntington Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Wallace, 40, of 50 Willow Ave., Huntington, was treated at Huntington Hospital for minor injuries.

Wallace was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 2nd degree, a misdemeanor, and released on bail.
