Man with 25 license suspensions sent to jail

TOWN OF ULSTER – The Ulster County Sheriff's Office has charged a Mount Marion man with driving with 25 driver's license suspensions or revocations. Ronald Bryant, 53, was stopped while driving on Washington Avenue in the Town of Ulster with a deputy's patrol car license plate reader triggered an alert that Bryant's registration had been suspended because of a lapse in insurance.

Bryant was charged with four counts of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating with a suspended registration and operating without insurance.

He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
