Long Island bank robbed |

PLAINVIEW – Nassau County police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Plainview on Wednesday, February 06, at 12:59 P.M. An unknown man entered the Roslyn Savings Bank at 509 Old Country Road and presented a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency the suspect fled on foot heading west towards the Burger King parking lot at Old Country Road and South Oyster Bay Road. Six employees and two customers were present at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported. The subject is described as a white male, 6”00” tall, wearing a gray winter jacket, green winter hat, black mask over his mouth and clear glasses. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous. |
