Repeat drunk driver faces five years in prison

ALBANY -  A man who pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, a week earlier, and was arrested a second time, last July, pleaded guilty a felony count of DWI in Albany County Court this week..

On July 4, 2012, Price was observed operating a motor vehicle on Broadway in the City of Watervliet when he was pulled over for driving above the speed limit and swerving between lanes. Upon being pulled over, Price exhibited several physical signs of intoxication, failed a field sobriety test and refused to take any other tests.

Price gave a false name at first to try and conceal the fact he had a revoked license and interlock restriction. In addition, on June 28, 2012, Price had pleaded guilty to a previous DWI in Albany County Court.

Price faces 1 2/3 to 5 years in State Prison, a $2,000 fine, License Revocation, and an ignition interlock device for 3 years following his release when sentenced on February 27,
