Three arrested following the seizure of 51 dogs in Montgomery County

FONDA - Three subjects who previously resided at 7145 ST-5S in the Town of Minden were charged by the State Police in Fonda with 52 counts of animal cruelty in violation of section 353 of the Agriculture and Markets Law.  Diane and Paul Marriott of Center St, Fort Plain and Joseph Marriott of Park Street, Gloversville were charged after a complaint was filed and 51 dogs were seized from a barn at the Town of Minden location.

Joseph Marriott was additionally charged with Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd for possessing over 16 ounces of marihuana, Aggravated Harassment 2nd for posting a threat to a local shelter employee and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.

The three subjects were arraigned in the Town of Minden Court and released on bail to reappear on 2/25/13.
