CATSKILL - State Police arrested Daniel Medici, 52, of Catskill, on January 27, for two counts of criminal sexual act in the first degree , sexual abuse in the first degree and attempt to lure a child to commit a crime, all felonies, and endangering the welfare of  a child, a misdemeanor. Additional charges are pending.

Medici was arrested following an investigation that revealed he had sexual contact with a non-related minor child over a year ago.  He recently reestablished contact with the same minor child through Facebook and attempted to lure the child away from home to engage in more sexual contact. 

Medici was arraigned and was committed to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail or $150,000 secured bond.
