Attempted murder arrest in Nassau County |

GARDEN CITY – Police report the arrest of a Garden City woman for an alleged attempted murder that occurred on Sunday, January 20, at 6:07 pm in Garden City. According to detectives, Elizabeth Marrinan, 47, of 159 Pine Street became involved in a domestic incident with her 57 year old husband. The argument became physical and Marrinan took a steak knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. Garden City Police responded to the scene and placed her under arrest without incident. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was admitted for treatment of his injury. He is listed in critical condition. Marrinan is charged with attempted murder 2nd degree, assault 1st degree and possession of a dangerous weapon 4th degree. She was scheduled for arraignment on Monday in First District Court, Hempstead.
