Man killed by train on Long Island
MINEOLA – A 62-year-old Mineola man, who was running northbound on foot crossing the train tracks at Willis Avenue and Hinck Way, was struck by a westbound Long Island Rail Road train. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at 10:35 pm at the scene.
MTA detectives are continuing the investigation into this incident.
