SCRIBA - The Oswego County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a vehicle accident on County Route 176 in the Town of Scriba.

Initial investigation reveals that a pickup truck operated by Jordan Davies, 21 was northbound on Route 176 at which time the vehicle left the east side of the roadway striking a utility pole and several trees. The vehicle then continued and became airborne after which it then struck an unoccupied building and came to rest.

Davies was dead at the scene.

Initial investigation indicates that excessive speed was a factor.
