POUGHKEEPSIE – Police have charged a Poughkeepsie woman with stabbing her live-in boyfriend to death.

City Police were called to a residence on Fitchett Street at 10:14 p.m. Saturday and found a 31-year-old resident suffering from several stab wounds. He was rushed to Saint Francis Hospital by Mobile Life Support Services ambulance where he died.

A short time later, police located the victim’s girlfriend, Ariana Robinson, 22, of the same address. After gathering evidence and taking statements, she was charged with felony second-degree manslaughter.

An autopsy was scheduled to be performed by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the victim’s cause of death.
