Long Island bank robbed |

PLAINVIEW – Nassau County police are investigating a bank robbery which occurred on Thursday, January 17, at 2:55 P.M. in Plainview. According to detectives, a male white suspect, 45 to 55 years of age, 5’ 7” wearing a green hooded jacket, gray mouton hat, glasses, jeans and sneakers entered the TD Bank located at 500 Old Country Road and presented a demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the subject fled on foot through the parking lot eastbound behind the bank. Nine employees and no customers were in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported. Detectives ask anyone with information about this incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
