Huntington bank robbed |

HUNTINGTON - Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at a Capital One bank in Huntington Monday evening. A man entered the bank at 250 New York Ave., at approximately 5:30 p.m., approached a teller, demanded cash, and displayed what appeared to be a firearm. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled the bank on foot. He was last seen heading south on New York Avenue in Huntington. The subject is described as a white male with a thin to medium build, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall to 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, gloves, and a cloth mask. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
