Hudson Valley bank robbed

SAUGERTIES - Saugerties Police received a 911 call for a bank robbery at the Key Bank at 258 Main Street, in the Village of Saugerties. The robbery was reported at 11:45 Friday morning.

Bank employees report that a man entered the bank, approached one of the teller stations and passed a note demanding the teller turn over the money in the bank draw.  The note indicated that the suspect was armed with a gun, however no gun was displayed. The suspect then exited the bank on foot through the front door onto Main Street.

Police are asking for assistance from the public, from anyone who may have been in the area of the bank at the time of the robbery and from anyone who saw or may recognize the individual in the photos, to please contact the Saugerties Police Detective Division at 845-246-9800.  Police believe the individual in the pictures may be of smaller build than the actual pictures depict, as it appears the individual may have other items under his shirt. The suspect is a white male, between 5’10” – 6” tall, wearing blue jeans, tan colored work boots and a light colored shirt.
