ALBANY - Auditions for the 2013 New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA) begin in January and will be held throughout New York State. A complete schedule of audition sites, application materials and program information is available on the NYSSSA website at www.oce.nysed.gov/nysssa/.

• The School of Ballet will be held June 23 – July 20 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs.
• The School of Choral Studies will be held June 30 – July 28 at SUNY Fredonia.
• The School of Dance will be held July 21 – August 17 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs.
• The School of Media Arts will be held June 30 – July 27 at SUNY Oswego.
• The School of Orchestral Studies will be held July 28 – August 24 at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs.
• The School of Theatre will be held in July 2013 (dates and location TBA).
• The School of Visual Arts will be held June 29 – July 27 at SUNY Fredonia.

Each year, more than 400 of New York State’s most talented high school students study with some of the world’s foremost artists in the visual and performing arts. To participate, students are accepted into the schools through a competitive audition process conducted by artistic staff. Tuition rates are maintained at a modest level and tuition assistance is available through state funds, enabling every student who qualifies the opportunity to participate in this life-changing program.
