PALMYRA - State Police investigated a two-car fatal accident which happened at about 5:50 pm on Rt 31 in the town of Palmyra.  An SUV operated by Harold P. Fisher, 89, of Palmyra, NY was westbound in the eastbound lane when it collided with a car operated by a 47-year-old Lyons man.  Fisher was transported to Newark Wayne Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  Fisher’s wife, Dorothy, 86, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where she is listed in critical condition. 

The operator of the car was treated at the scene.
