MEDFORD - Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating the shooting of a man at a gas station in Medford about 8:39 Saturday night. An employee at the BP Gas Station, located at 1614 Route 112, was inside his booth when he was approached by a man who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man then shot the attendant and fled the scene, leaving with an undetermined amount of money. The employee was transported by Medford Ambulance to Stony Brook Hospital where he is listed in serious condition. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. |
