ISLIP - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was discovered on the driveway of his Islip home this afternoon.

Police responded after a 911 caller reported a body on the driveway of 1341 Chicago Ave., at 2:55 p.m. Police discovered the victim, Kevin McCarthy, 48, had sustained a head injury. McCarthy was taken to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.
