Three men arrested for burglarizing pawn shop

COPIAGUE - In an effort to prevent storm-related crimes, First Precinct patrol officers and First Squad detectives were on patrol when they responded to a burglary call at approximately 11:30 p.m. at Copiague Pawn Shop, located at 350B Oak St. Upon arrival, officers and detectives observed four subjects fleeing the store with assorted merchandise. Following brief foot pursuits, three of the subjects were arrested. A fourth subject was able to flee and has yet to be apprehended.

Arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree were:

  • Ismael Barrientos, 26, of 73 Boot Hill Court, North Amityville
  • Andy Collado, 21, of 53 Robinwood St., Mastic
  • Christopher Urbina, 22, of 302 40th St., Copiague

Barrientos was also charged with Resisting Arrest.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this case to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
