NEW HYDE PARK - The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a fatal fire which occurred on Thursday, November 01, 2012 at 5:03 A.M. in New Hyde Park.

According to detectives, patrol Officers from the Third Precinct responded to 1217 Jericho Turnpike for an occupied structure fire.  The location is a commercial business with residential apartments above.  There were six occupants in the apartments at the time.  Two males, 47 and 58, and a female were uninjured in the blaze.  One male, 51 was transported to Long Island Jewish hospital where he was pronounce deceased at 6:47 A.M, by hospital staff.  One male, 58 was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.  One male, 52 was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition. 

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.  It is non-suspicious and being investigated at this time.
